The Journey.
Depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park. Known for its massive baobab trees and large elephant population, this park offers a unique and raw safari vibe. We'll spend the day tracking river-side wildlife and spotting leopards.
Drive through the lush Manyara region, climbing the rift valley wall and moving into the Serengeti. The transition from lush forest to endless golden plains is the highlight of today's journey.
Full day in the Serengeti. We focus on the big cats—lions, cheetahs, and leopards—and the myriad of grazers that depend on these plains. Lunch is served in the bush to maximize our wildlife viewing time.
Morning game drive as we exit the Serengeti. We stop at the Olduvai Gorge, the site of some of the most important hominid fossil discoveries, before settling at a lodge in the Ngorongoro Highlands.
A final morning safari on the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, seeking out the rare Black Rhino and the Crater's massive elephants. Return to Arusha by late afternoon.
